The weapons and armament sector concentrates the most severe constraints in mechanical industry: extreme thermo-mechanical fatigue on gun barrels (firing cycles at several thousand bars, temperatures > 1000 °C), long-duration storage corrosion on munitions (10–30 years in arsenals), absolute reliability on weapon systems across varied operational environments (desert, arctic, marine, altitude).

Kronos Engineering supports major defense primes — Nexter, MBDA, Thales LAS, Rheinmetall, KMW, Raytheon, BAE Systems Land, Leonardo DRS — on the special processes that improve service life and reliability: high-intensity shot peening, roto peening (gun barrels, chambers), cold working (breech joints, sleeves), precision boring (bore rework after ballistic wear), HFMI (fatigue welds), flapper peening (artillery parts in maintenance).

Our operators hold Confidentiel Défense clearance (France) or international equivalents (NATO Secret, UK SC, US Secret). All sensitive files are handled under prior NDA, with traceability aligned to classification requirements.
