Shot peening media all grades (steel, ceramic, glass, stainless) and tungsten carbide roto peening flaps. AMS 2431, SAE J441, J827 qualified.
Our approach
Kronos supplies a complete range of shot-peening and roto-peening consumables: all-qualification media (conditioned steel S110 to S930, ZrO₂ ceramic, glass, stainless), tungsten-carbide flappers for roto peening, needles for needle peening. All batches traceable to AMS 2431, SAE J441, SAE J827.
Media selection adapted to the treated material: conditioned steel for classic steels, ceramic for titanium and anti-embedment applications, glass for light alloys and cosmetic applications.
Selection guide
Reference for aerospace and automotive production. AMS 2431, SAE J441 compliant. Traceable batch with hardness, grain-size and shape certificate.
Standard for titanium (Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-17) and engine applications where metallic embedment is prohibited. Grain sizes 0.15-0.50 mm.
Aluminum alloys, cosmetic applications (low residual roughness), pre-paint preparation. Grain sizes 50-500 µm.
Diameters 8, 12, 16 mm. Typical lifetime 5-50 m² depending on material. AMS 2590 compliant.
