Needle peening training for welders and fitters in the shipbuilding, rail and heavy steelwork sectors. 2-day programme compliant with DIN EN 1011-2 and IIW 2016 recommendations — fatigue improvement of weld beads through pneumatic needle impact.
Non-SAE J2277 certifying training (process outside the classical NADCAP perimeter) but delivering a Kronos attestation recognised in steelwork and offshore construction.
Detailed curriculum
Multiple needle impact, fatigue improvement mechanisms for welded joints. DIN EN 1011-2, IIW 2016 post-weld treatment recommendations. Use cases in shipbuilding, rail, bridges.
Execution on welded specimens (S355 steel, HSLA steel). Pneumatic tool parameter setting, angle, speed. Visual inspections. Kronos needle peening attestation.
