The drone market covers a very broad spectrum: tactical military drones (ISR, reconnaissance, escort), MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) and HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) for extended surveillance missions, professional civil drones (inspection, surveying, agriculture, civil security), eVTOL and urban air mobility (UAM) platforms — flying taxis, heavy multirotors — and logistics cargo drones. These platforms face specific fatigue challenges: repeated takeoff-landing cycles, long airframe endurance (thousands of hours of continuous flight), rotor vibrations and hybrid propulsion, harsh environments (marine, desert, high altitude, theatre of operations).
Kronos Engineering adapts its special processes — shot peening, cold working, flapper peening, HFMI — to the aluminum-lithium, titanium and hybrid composite-metal structures typical of drones. Applicable qualifications: STANAG 4671 (airworthiness for military drones > 150 kg) and STANAG 4703 (Light UAS) for NATO platforms, EASA SC-Light UAS and EASA Special Condition VTOL for civil, AMS 2430 / 2432 for peening processes. Intervention on operational sites (air bases, camps, deployed sites), integrator shops and R&D centers — in France, in Europe and internationally, including AOG on grounded MALE/HALE platforms.
