A Major Repair is a structural intervention beyond the scope of the standard OEM SRM — damage off-chart, patch size exceeding SRM limits, interaction with primary structure. Such repairs require a technical file approved by the OEM or by a third-party DOA, with stress notes, execution instruction and quality procedure.
