Sentenso GmbH (Germany) develops and markets portable and automated HFMI / UIT (High Frequency Mechanical Impact / Ultrasonic Impact Treatment) units dedicated to improving the fatigue life of welds. What is the difference between HFMI, UIT, PIT, HiFIT?+

These are technological variants of the same principle of high-frequency impact on a weld bead. UIT is piezoelectric ultrasonic, PIT is pneumatic, HiFIT is pneumatic as well. IIW 2016 recognises all of them — the choice depends on the part, accessibility and the customer's standard.

Can you intervene offshore on wind turbine welds?+

Yes. We have offshore-deployable HFMI expertise from vessel or platform. Offshore safety training (GWO/BOSIET) is kept current.
